"The inside is larger than the outside... "
.

This is what one boating journalist wrote about the Profish 30, adding:

"Perhaps it should have been named the Tardis..."

The reference of course is to the mythical time-space machine used by BBC Television's legendary Doctor Who. On the outside the Tardis was a tiny London Police Phone Booth, on the inside, it was a multi-level complex complete with tennis courts, swimming pools and a cricket ground. While the Profish 30 can't quite match this extravagance, its efficient use of interior space is remarkable. Everything has been well thought out and the extensive use of precision mouldings almost eliminates conventional carpentry, allowing perfect fit and superior utilisation of all the available areas.

Clever allocation of space enables the lower deck to gain headroom where in other designs it's often wasted - for example additional room is gained on the upper deck by allowing the floor in some areas to recess into spaces below (such as the head), or using the area behind the dash moulding to contribute additional headroom to the lower forward bunk area. Using precision mouldings this way also adds considerably to the boat's strength while keeping weight down. The result is a remarkably clever use of interior space combined with an exceptionally strong structure.

A feature of the sports bridge is its all round view and ease of access, which makes one-man handling and berthing relatively easy. Note the roomy dash with plenty of space available for almost any electronics fit. Head room at the helm is over 2 metres.

Ergonomic layout and great attention to detail creates a suprisingly roomy and functional interior, which one boating journalist described as:

"This craft should have been named the Tardis - it's bigger on the inside than the outside..."

Below deck, looking aft from the V berths. On the left is the fridge (large enough for more than four dozen cans of beer) and galley area with the starboard berth just visible near the entrance. As can be seen there's plenty of headroom.
